Lassie to Prance the Red Carpet at Sprockets

Eternally famous canine Lassie will walk the red carpet during opening night at the ninth annual Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for Children to celebrate her new film April 21st. Based on Eric Knight's classic novel "Lassie Come Home", "Lassie" will have its North American premiere at Sprockets. The film is directed and adapted by Charles Sturridge, and stars Lassie, Peter O'Toole, Samantha Morton and Peter Dinklage. Sprockets, which is organized by the Toronto International Film Festival Group, runs from April 21st to April 30th. Sprockets offers children and youth the opportunity to learn about film and cultural perspectives from around the world. [Brian Brooks]
