To celebrate the theatrical release and upcoming roadshow of the SXSW comedy "Love & Air Sex" (f/k/a "The Bounceback"), the filmmakers have teamed with Indiewire to help you realize your dreams of becoming an Air Sex Champion -- or at least get some quick cash for your hump-and-grind skills.
The film opens theatrically in select theaters February 7th, kicking off their cross-country Air Sex Road Show, and is now available to watch on iTunes and on demand.
To kick off the theatrical release and cross-country Air Sex Road Show tour of the movie, the filmmakers are ponying up $1,000 of their hard-earned Kickstarter loot towards one lucky winner’s Air Sex ambitions.
What is Air Sex, you say? Watch this:
Then, enter the ‘Love & Air Sex Tape Contest’:
- Upload a video of your routine to the Love & Air Sex Facebook page and tag it with the hashtag #airsextape. You can also share the video with @loveandairsex via direct Facebook message.
- They’ll share all submissions on their Love & Air Sex Facebook page (sorry, no there’s no modesty in air sex) and the air sex’r whose routine gets the most likes takes home $1k and will be automatically entered in the nearest regional Air Sex Championship qualifier.
- For info on what constitutes an air-sex routine, visit the rules page on the official air sex website.
- And remember all air sex routines must be (somewhat-to-mostly) clothed and meet the Facebook content guidelines to qualify, who have officially told us to say that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
If you don’t have the inclination to get nasty with the air, they’re also giving away signed "Love & Air Sex" T-Shirts to five randomly selected fans who tweet the following: I love @loveandairsex – now available on demand & digital http://bit.ly/1fpDAhr #airsextape @indiewire
Make sure to submit your video (or tweet) by 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, February 20 to be eligible. T he filmmakers will announce the winners at their San Francisco theatrical premiere at the Roxie and on Indiewire on Friday, February 21.
