I saw/met Matt at Thom Power's Doc Fest State of the Industry Panel in it's first year. Congrats to him! I think this is a really good thing for everyone in the industry. Apple, and the upcoming Apple TV, could do more for the independent film industry. I really hope a lot of partnerships are made, and there is some out of the box thinking in terms of the business model for consumers. VOD might be on the uptick but I think there are a lot of people who will only go for independent content with subscription models (as long as its not pennies for the content producers).
