The film goes beyond mere artistic praise and attempts to look closer at the man considered to be the Nostradamus of the art world. Known for his pencil drawings of intricate patterns that linked global finance and international terrorism, Lombardi's work revealed research on a variety of scandals, including the BCCI scandal in his drawing entitled "BCCI" which became an object of FBI investigation following the September 11 attacks. Through interviews with Lombardi's family members, close friends, fellow artists, and gallerists, Wegener attempts to uncover the intentions and impact of the artist who took his life unexpectedly in 2000.
