Fresh off of Comic-Con weekend we have a brief taste of some new footage from "Machete Kills," the second installment in Indiewire Influencer Robert Rodriguez's gleeful homage to the exploitation film genre, "Machete." Playing more in the style of a TV spot, this new sizzle reel puts particular emphasis on Michelle Rodriguez, who reprises her role as Shé, the gun-wielding leader of an immigrant aid movement with a penchant for tacos. Also highlighted in the reel is Amber Heard, new to the "Machete" series as pageant queen Miss San Antonio, who faces off with Shé in the clip. In addition to Rodriguez and Heard, as well as Danny Trejo continuing on in the title role, is a nearly astounding ensemble of actors, including Danny Trejo, Sofia Vergara, Lady Gaga, Cuba Gooding Jr., Demian Bichir, Jessica Alba, Charlie Sheen, and Mel Gibson, all of whom seem to be having a blast camping it up for Rodriguez's both silly and violent franchise.
"Machete Kills" is set to hit theaters on October 4.
