NBC has just revealed that the fifth season of "Community" will premiere on January 2, with back-to-back episodes from 8-9pm. It will then settle into its regular 8pm slot the following week, where it will precede the mid-season return of "Parks and Recreation." This upcoming season of "Community" marks the return of creator Dan Harmon, who was replaced as the showrunner for last season.
In other news related to the network's primetime roster, "Ironside" and "Welcome to the Family" have both been yanked from their time slots, which are set to be replaced in the upcoming months by a slew of originally programming, pretty much confirming their cancellation.
