Watch: New Trailer for Bela Tarr's Epic Career-Ender "The Turin Horse"

The Cinema Guild. "The Turin Horse"

"Satantango" auteur Bela Tarr's newest - and apparently career-capping - film "The Turin Horse" has a new trailer for its upcoming theatrical release. It features the eponymous horse, wind, a bucket, a window, and not much else, which is quite a lot considering the previous trailer featured only an oil lamp.

The film won the Jury Grand Prix at the Berlin Film Festival and will be released by The Cinema Guild at the Elinor Bunin Monroe Film Center on February 10, after the Film Society of Lincoln Center holds a career retrospective for the acclaimed director.

Thank-you for the humor Anon! But, in all seriousness, I'd rather watch a couple of hours of minimalist black and white imagery than a similar length from a mindless action blockbuster as above-mentioned (with a few exceptions... ).

The best picture I saw last year; a terrifying, haunting meditation on cosmic futility. He really is the last modernist of cinema.

This and "GI JOE: Retaliation" are my two most anticipated movies of 2012!!
