In the Austin program, Chase is joined by AFF's own previously-announced centerpiece "Flight," Robert Zemeckis's tale of airborne heroism starring Denzel Washington. David O. Russell's "The Silver Linings Playbook," which has the Toronto film festival's audience award freshly under its belt, will also screen in Austin.
Other highlights include Dustin Hoffman's first directorial foray "Quartet," about a retirement home for musicians; Edward Burns' "The Fitzgerald Family Christmas"; and the Sundance drama "The Sessions," which stars John Hawkes, Helen Hunt and William H. Macy, who plays a priest ministering to a paralyzed 38-year-old looking to lose his virginity. The fest's closer remains for now in the wings.
The festival runs October 18-25 in Austin, Texas.
