The domestic rights to "Still Breathing", written and directed by James F.
Robinson, have been acquired by October Films, the distributor announced
yesterday. The film, which premiered at the 1997 South by Southwest Film
Festival, also screened at the Seattle Fest, where its star Brendan
Fraser garnered the event's Best Actor Award. Additionally, it is also
set to screen in competition at the upcoming Montreal Film Festival.

The film, which also stars Joanna Going, was produced by Marshall
Persinger and Joyce Schweickert of the Fresh Produce Company, Janet
Graham, as well as ZapPictures and Seattle Pacific Investments.
Described by October as "romantic comedy-drama," the film revolves
around a street performer who falls for a con artist. It was shot in San
Antonio, Texas and Los Angeles.
