Odyssey Pictures Corporation's entertainment division is set to launch their latest venture, a new producer's representative service business, at this year's MIP Junior and MIPCOM markets, that will take place from October 2 - 8. The new service, will represent indendent film, broadcast and internet content to international markets, as well as provide completion, co-production and development financing.
The service is starting out with a lineup of clients (including Dominique Paul Mougenot Inc., ORG Studios USA, Glue Works Creative Management, All Channel Films and Foothill Entertainment), as well as its first international rights deal.
Odyssey has a successful history of distributing and financing major motion pictures like "Sniper," "Wuthering Heights," "1492," and "The Handmaid's Tale." Today, the company provides diversified professional services to global media and entertainment markets.
"We are very excited to be in this new but familiar line of business," said Odyssey's CEO John Foster. "Because of our deep background in distribution, we already have the knowledge base and the contacts to place our client's work with important buyers around the world. We expect a strong deal flow from the MIP markets."
