'Orphan Black' Fans Rejoice, BBC America Orders a Second Season of the Clone Drama

The Canadian coproduction stars Tatiana Maslany as Sarah, a clone who is part of a larger conspiracy and gets tangled up in mystery after witnessing the death of her lookalike and deciding to assume her identity. As she uncovers more and more truth, she also puts her life in danger -- while Maslany shows off her acting chops in multiple roles.

If you haven't had a chance to catch the series while it aired live, you'll be able to buy the complete first season on July 16th.  Season two will premiere in 2014 as part of BBC America's Supernatural Saturday.

Every few years a show comes along that I get excited to watch every week. This is that show now! Tatiana Maslany won't be nominated for an Emmy because the Emmy's aren't open-minded and hip enough to nominate her. On the other hand, I could totally see the Golden Globes giving her a nomination, which she richly deserves.

This show took me totally by surprise. I only ended up watching it because I had nothing else to watch after Doctor Who. After the first couple episodes, I was hooked. It's really one of the most entertaining shows to come out this season and there are just no words to describe just how brilliant Tatiana Maslany is at being able to pull off playing these many characters and making them feel like real people. So glad it's done well enough ratings wise to get a second season.
