Stephen Kijak's "Scott Walker: 30 Century Man," the documentary about one of the most influential figures in rock history, has been acquired by Oscilloscope for North America. The doc is currently playing in theaters in select cities and Oscilloscope will release the film on DVD and VOD this summer 2009. The film explores Scott Walker's music and career, from his early days as a gun-for-hire bass player on the Sunset Strip, to heartthrob mega-stardom in Britain's 60's pop scene, and finally his transformation to respected composer and avant-garde musician, reclusively shying away from the spotlight.
Oscilloscope Laboratories is a NYC-based recording studio, film production and distribution company, and post- production facility founded by Adam Yauch. Oscilloscope Laboratories will distribute So Yong Kim's "Treeless Mountain" on April 22, 2009, and Chai Vasarhelyi's "Youssou N'Dour: I Bring What I Love" on June 12, 2009.
