Producer Andrew Lang ("Loverboy") has acquired the film rights to author Peter Lefcourt's "The Dreyfus Affair." The book -- loosely based on the Dreyfus espionage controversy in France -- is about an affair that takes place between the shortstop and second baseman of a major league baseball team and the fallout that occurs when their relationship is discovered. Lang and Lefcourt are currently collaborating on the screenplay. Lefcourt will also be one of the film's producers. [M.L. Liu]
