The Producers Guild of America has announced the nominations in its best documentary feature category.

The complete list:

Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer,” directed by Alex Gibney
Earth Made of Glass," directed by Deborah Scranton
Inside Job,” directed by Charles Ferguson
Smash His Camera," directed by Leon Gast
The Tillman Story," directed by Amir Bar-Lev
Waiting for Superman," directed by Davis Guggenheim

Though "Client 9," "Inside Job," "The Tillman Story" and "Waiting For Superman" were all generally expected and have been present in most doc kudos this season, both "Earth Made of Glass" and "Smash His Camera" came as surprises. Not included were Oscar shortlisted films like Tim Hetherington and Sebastian Junger's "Restrepo," Josh Fox's "Gasland," Rob Lemkin and Thet Sambath's "Enemies of the People," Lucy Walker's "Waste Land" and Banksy's "Exit Through The Gift Shop," while Oscar snubees "The Oath," "A Film Unfinished," "La Danse," "Last Train Home" "Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work," and "12th and Delaware" were also passed over by the PGA.

The PGA will announce its narrative feature nominations on January 4, 2011. Awards in both categories will be handed out January at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
