"Dwayne's Last Photo"
DWAYNE'S PHOTO is a documentary portrait of Dwayne Steinle, the founder of Dwayne’s Photo in Parsons, Kansas. In this short film, we discover how his family-run lab in the middle of the American heartland came to develop the last treasured rolls of Kodachrome – one of the most popular and beloved color films ever made.
Dwayne's story is part of the 94 ELEMENTS project, a global cross-media
storytelling project about the 94 naturally occurring elements in the
periodic table. Dwayne gives us a human story behind the element of
Producer / Director - Sarah George made her directorial debut with CATCHING OUT - a documentary about trainhopping and living free. After premiering at the Seattle International Film Festival in 2002, the feature-length documentary has entertained audiences at over 50 theatrical venues including a week run at Film Forum in New York City. CATCHING OUT aired on the Sundance Channel and Microcinema International released the DVD in June 2008.
Director of Photography - Siniša Kukić is a cinematographer and experimental filmmaker. His film Pump, screened on KQED's Truly CA series and is rated the sixth greatest super 8 film of all time by Super8.org.
Editor - Cheree Dillon is a New York City-based, documentary film and television editor. Her recent documentary work includes the features Surviving Amina and Off and Running.
