In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

"The Last Generation to Die"

Tweetable Logline:

Set in the future when science first begins to stop aging, a daughter tries to save her father from natural death

Elevator Pitch:

Would you want to live forever if technology could offer this possibility? My film is set in the near future and is about the gulf between generations from such a reality. A daughter works for Apeiron Life, the first company to bring this technology to the public. She has an opportunity to save her aging father, but he believes that natural death is more human. We are incorporating 3D printing and smart visual effects to create this future world, and have a clever marketing campaign designed around Apeiron Life as a real company, complete with faux commercial and website. Thanks!

About the Production:

A big inspiration for me was a book by Michio Kaku called Physics of the Future. The idea that science may truly be closer than we think to tackling a halt on aging is pretty profound. For instance, the fact that I may live long enough to reach this technology while my parents will likely die naturally is a personally moving thought and seemed like good framework for a rich and intriguing story. Technology is also moving very fast and I believe now is the time to start the discussion with stories about what this means to humanity.

Current Status:
