"Committed"

Tweetable Logline:

A road movie set in Cyprus about a chance meeting between a man and a runaway bride.

Elevator Pitch:

“Committed” is a road-trip movie set on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. It will be shot in English but it will have the unmistakable flavour of Cyprus. The story is a romantic comedy about a man who takes to the road to escape the pressure of proposing to his girlfriend, only to come across a bride who has just run out on her wedding.

What ensues is a bizarre road trip which explores ideas about love, marriage and commitment, with a big surprise ending. It’s “When Harry Met Sally” on the road with a twist.

Production Team:

Director: Stelana Kliris
Executive Producers: Fullmoon Productions, Seahorse Film Productions, Filmworks
Director of Photography: Stephan Metzner
Editor: Stylianos Constantinou

About the Production:

"I love stories about the human heart and "Commtted" was a chance to take a fun, frank look at our modern perceptions of love.

Also, quite recently, local film funds in Cyprus have been cut. This has slowed down our already-small film industry. So I wrote this low-budget feature, gathered up the support of local crews and companies in an attempt to create work for ourselves and to prove that you don't need millions to tell a good story. It's a quirky, feel-good film with heart and a chance to expose Cyprus and its film community to the world."  - Stelana Kliris

Current Status:

Post-Production.

Coming from a country with little film production (Tanzania) I entirely empathise with Stelana.
I offer you my support and will do all I can to spread the word. The trailer is excellent and I do look forward seeing the film on the big screen. I pledge my support and will contribute financially in due course. Those of us who need support have to support others if we are ever going to also get supported! Support and you'll be supported!!
