"Big World"

Tweetable Logline:

A transcontinental road odyssey that follows our main character through America, as well as his own memory, as he searches for his brother.

Elevator Pitch:

"Big World" is a semi-autobiographical road movie that follows the main character,Tommy, through three distinct American landscapes as he searches for his long lost half-brother.We start off in Manhattan, depicted as a dreamlike, bustling city, where we're faced with dozens of unknown faces and empty alleyways- a testament to Tommy's personal isolation and longing for the truth. Parting from the dream, we arrive in Indiana, the heartland. This is where Tommy surprises his paternal Grandpa, Jack.Having never met each other before, the two engage in an awkward exchange.Tommy learns of his brother, and goes on to LA.

Production Team:

Assistant Director/Gaffer: Eric Bigman

About the Production:

"What drives this movie is my real life experience in meeting my father, two half-brothers, and grandfather for the first time. A year ago, I drove to Indiana to meet my grandfather. Last summer, I flew to Los Angeles, where I was able to meet my father and half-brothers. I've been an only child with a single mother nearly my whole life. "Big World" is about making the decision to leave your loneliness behind and go out into the world to discover all it has to offer.
