About the Production:
It all started with a poem by Allison Becker titled “Beetle.” Her
poem sheds light on a teenager's memory of her exterminator grandfather.
As a director, I tend to focus on small town folklore and the rich
tapestry of family life. This story provided an excellent canvas for me
to work with these ideas. With Bug People we hope to open a window to a
tiny world with characters, places and visuals rarely seen on film. My
goal is take audiences on a journey with universal themes but with a
unique, visually alluring world that few people get to see. -- Jordan Fein
