Project of the Day: An Amnesiac Forced to Piece Together His Own Crime in 'One Last Stop'
2
One Last Stop
Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

"One Last Stop"

Tweetable Logline:

An amnesiac man awakes on a country road and must piece together the events that led him to abduct a local priest as police close in.

Elevator Pitch:

What if you awoke next to an unconscious priest on the side of the road with only one piece of information: that you are responsible for the bruises on his face? How would you go about finding out what happened? This is the predicament presented by One Last Stop. As Kieran struggles to recall what led him to this very circumstance, he must negotiate dreamlike flashbacks and apparitions that begin to paint a vague picture, but what could it mean, and what can he really trust in his condition? Sorting it out will prove a matter of life and death.

Production Team:

Writer/Director/Editor: Justin Foster
Executive Producers: Justin Foster, Aniruddh Pandit
Cinematographer: Oden Roberts
Production Designer: Erica Torres
Unit Production Manager: Matthew Cull
Composer: Edward Underhill
Sound Designer: Chris Foster

About the Production:

"Escapism describes that characteristic of certain films that invites viewers to leave themselves behind and disappear into another world for a couple hours of distraction. The challenge that preoccupied me in making “One Last Stop” was how to create a useful escapism firmly grounded in reality – a cinematic experience that allows an audience to inhabit the protagonist’s circumstances in a way that doesn’t end when the lights come up, but that leaves viewers reflecting on their own beliefs, their own convictions, and how they themselves would deal with the situation portrayed long after the screen has gone dark." -Justin Foster

Current Status:

Post-Production/fundraising for a 2k scan of the film so it can be submitted to festivals and released in HD.
