"My Super Valentine"

7-year-old Ashley's story about first crush and bullying/being bullied.
Elevator Pitch:
My Super Valentine is a cute and sweet short film with a tense plot. Timid and imaginative 7-year old Ashley has to stand up against the class bully in order to save her secret crush, and let him know how she feels in an art class on Valentine's Day. The film is shot from a child’s perspective, interweaving Ashley’s black-humored fantasy and her real world where she needs to be true to her heart and make quick and tough decisions.

About the Production:
"When I was a 7-year-old girl in China about two decades ago, I was picked on in school everyday by a boy who had a crush on me that he didn't know how to express. First crush and bullying/being bullied are two issues that almost every child encounters, yet most children don't openly talk about them.
"I've always wanted to make a film from a child's perspective that my 21-month-old daughter will enjoy in a couple of years, and that adult audiences can also relate to. My Super Valentine fulfills that dream." -- Jing Yang
