"You Are Not Alone"

Tweetable Logline:

A college grad, visiting her hometown over July 4th, is stalked by a sociopathic killer on the loose. Told from her first-person perspective

Elevator Pitch:

'YOU ARE NOT ALONE', at the forefront, is about a college graduate, Natalie, reconnecting with friends and family as she visits her hometown over the Fourth of July. She floats through the proceedings of the July 4th celebration her town is known for. In the background, the town is inundated with news about a dangerous sociopath who is in the midst of a spree killing and reportedly within the area. The second half of the picture is what happens when Natalie crosses paths with said killer.

The film is 100% told through her eyes.

About the Production:

"John Carpenter's 'Halloween' had a huge influence on me and was the picture that pushed me towards a career in film. When I was deciding what project to produce for my second feature, I turned to my initial inspiration. I've always wanted to make a film as effective as that 1978 film. My crew and I were emboldened by the idea of experimenting with different storytelling techniques and arrived at doing a horror/suspense film from a first-person perspective. The challenge is before us. Now we need to fundraise to accomplish our goal." -- Derek Mungor
