"Flaws in the Child Welfare System"
Tweetable Logline: Documentary following two girls who were wrongfully stuck in foster care for 6 years due to a clerical error. Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.
Director/Cinematographer - Schanne Cade
Producer/Editor - Drew Morris
Camera Operators - Grant Stakenas, Jimmy Murray
Executive Producer - Stephanie McLean/Patrick Stakenas
About the Production: Once I heard Stephanie's story and all the terrible things these girls went through, I knew there was no way I could not make this documentary. I knew that the United States Child Welfare system had issues, but the more research I did, the more it became clear that it was time to do something. We hope our film can help spark change so that more lawsuits are not filed, and more lives are not ruined.
Current Status: In production.
