"Kenny: A Documentary in G"
Tweetable Logline
Quirky documentary about smooth sax legend Kenny G, his career, persona and quest to become a Hollywood film composer.
Elevator Pitch
Kenny G is the king of smooth jazz. Now he wants to become a Hollywood film composer and write memorable melodies for the silver screen. Our documentary traces Kenny's career and reputation — from underground funk musician to top-25 recording artist of all time, and follows Kenny on his journey into Hollywood and on tour in Asia (where his music is fully integrated into the culture). Combining stylized verite footage with interviews with Kenny, his peers and members of the music and film industries, the film will paint a quirky, irreverent portrait of a true music icon.

About the Production
"After spending some time with Kenny we knew that there was a side of him people didn't know about — first off, he's a really hilarious guy. Of course, he's had the most unbelievably successful career imaginable. But people still look at him a certain way — they know him from his hair, or call his CDs "elevator music" and dismiss his success. We've spent a lot of time researching and we think there's a really awesome story to tell about his very unique career. Kenny's interest in getting into film composing is a perfect entry point for the story." - Brian McGinn

There is a roughly 0% chance this will get funded at $100k...
