Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.
In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.
Tweetable Logline: Brothers, a mother, songs from the seventies, Xanax, and a woman named Vicki. Kiss of Mint explores making sacrifices for the ones you love.
Elevator Pitch: "Kiss of Mint" follows two teenage brothers through their weekly routine of finding their wandering mother and taking her to the hospital to detox from a prescription drug addiction. When it becomes clear that their mom may never get better, both brothers have to decide whether to remain in the cycle, or move on.

About the Production: "Kiss of Mint" explores a chapter in my life when, like the brothers in the story, I was faced with the complexities of prescription drug addiction in my family. The central conflict is the decision between saving yourself at the expense of those you love, or sacrificing yourself for them.
While this problem continues to destroy families (especially children), most consider this type of abuse as harmless recreation, something you wink about to your neighbor across the street. I’ve never understood why. My hope is a story like Kiss of Mint moves audiences to see the issue in a different light.
Current Status: 'Kiss of Mint' is currently in post-production. The 'Kiss of Mint' team is grateful for a successful indiegogo campaign that raised over 80% of the film's funds. If you are interested in helping them get to 100%, donations can be made directly to the project's Fractured Atlas Page. 'Kiss of Mint' is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non‐profit arts service organization.
