"Lily & Kat"

Tweetable Logline:

Inseparable best friends struggle to make the best of their last few days together, savoring the city nightlife with an enigmatic artist.

Elevator Pitch:

LILY & KAT revolves around the world of fashion school graduate Lily (Jessica Rothe) as she struggles to hold onto her youthful lifestyle, championed by her charismatic best friend Kat (Hannah Murray). When Lily discovers that Kat has plans to leave the city and their way of life behind, Lily must bury feelings of betrayal to make the best of their last days together, while the anxieties of a bleak, uncertain future begin to take hold.

Production Team:

Writer/Director - Micael Preysler
Writer - Megan Platts
Producer - Garen Barsegian (music videos by Nas, Outasight, Swedish House Mafia)
Co-Producers - Brooke McDaniel and Areg Barsegian
Executive Producer - Christian Altaba
DP - Todd Antonio Somodevilla (Beyoncé: Life Is But a Dream)
Editor - Rex Lowry

About the Production:

"LILY & KAT was written in a transitional period in my life. That strange purgatory between college and the real world. I found myself frustrated at the realization that there was this whole world in front of me, yet there was little freedom to navigate it. I resolved to make this film about it. I channeled that anxiety into the character of Lily. She's at a turning point in her life and the imminent departure of her best friend is a catalyst for that. I wanted to explore the struggle that comes with finding your place in the world." -- Micael Preysler

Current Status:

Post-production.
