Menthol still

Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

"Methol"

Tweetable Logline:

When four friends reunite for a night of fun in their hometown, a crisis forces them to confront the consequences of their lifestyles.

Elevator Pitch:

Living in the internet age separates us from the consequences of everyday life. Being separate from your everyday actions is dangerous because you can pretend like you're not part of the world and you can just blame the problems of the world on other people. And this is a story about four friends really coming to terms with a terrible moment of violence that is directly caused by their choices.

Production Team:

Exec. Producer: Steve Nicolaides ("Boyz N The Hood," "School of Rock")
Director / Writer: Micah Van Hove
Writer/Co-Producer: Sam Jones
Producer: Nate Kamiya

About the Production:

"This story was born from that odd place of being part of something & reflecting on it at the same time. I’m fascinated by group dynamics & how we behave when we operate in groups & the way we joke about our problems as a way of dealing with them. I want to show life as it is in the small moments that make up our daily lives, an unflinching look at young people struggling to grow up in the internet age." -- Micah Van Hove

Current Status:
