Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

"Paperback"

Tweetable Logline:

The second feature-length comedy by Sundance alum Adam Bowers. A smart, (painfully) real comedy/romance.

Elevator Pitch:

A pizza cook who never left his college town, never made anything of himself, meets the girl of his dreams, before realizing there's a huge roadblock to them being together. It's a story about what you do when you realize you might not do anything great with your life. It's in the vein of Woody Allen's films, or the show LOUIE, but it's something wholly original.

Production Team:

Writer/Director/Editor: Adam Bowers (NEW LOW)
Producers: Andie Bolt & Roger Beebe
Executive Producer: Adele Romanski (THE MYTH OF THE AMERICAN SLEEPOVER, THE FREEBIE, BLACK ROCK)
Director of Photography: Jay Keitel (SUN DON'T SHINE)

About the Production:

"I love low-budget, DIY filmmaking, and I love comedies, but I feel like those two things rarely come together for artistic reasons. But I'm interested in movies that are intentionally made this way, where the film is made fresher and more distinct by its budgetary limitations, rather than being made in spite of them.

"My first movie was made for $2,000, and it premiered at Sundance in 2010. I'm hoping to make something similar, a very personal comedy/romance, but in a (slightly) bigger and (much) better way." -- Adam Bowers

Current Status:

Pre-production.
