Tweetable Logline:

A Hungarian migrant worker is forced to steal a car in order to reunite the family he left behind.

Elevator Pitch:

Thousands of cars are stolen in Europe each year, where they are sold onto the black market in Eastern Europe. A year ago we set out to research, write, and produce a film about migration and trafficking in Europe. Our goal is to look at how lives are affected by increased migration opportunities abroad and highlight the impact this has on the families left behind.

Production Team:

Daniel Nickson - Director & Co-Writer
Reka Posta - Producer & Co-Writer
Julia Bruton - Co-Producer
Andrew K. Li - Associate Producer
Laurence Vannicelli - Cinematographer

About the Production:

Family, masculinity and immigration are themes that are deeply important to our filmmakers, Daniel Nickson and Reka Posta.

Having grown up straddling two cultures, Reka's film interests have focused on the social and political landscape of Eastern Europe.

Daniel's body of work explores masculinity and patriarchy in the modern world. Growing up in Manchester, moving to London at an early age and then migrating to New York in his early twenties, he has lived amongst a diverse range of people. His goal as a director is to bring these people to life on the screen, in exciting and original stories.

Current Status:

Pre-production.
