A comic drama about three unlikely individuals at crossroads in their lives who come together and help each other find their way forward.
"The Frontier" is a refreshingly smart and emotionally satisfying character drama that will appeal to a wide range of audiences. The cast and crew is comprised of an impressive mix of industry veterans and exciting newcomers. Producer John Thompson boasts impressive past credits including "The Expendables" and "The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans," and star Max Gail is a two-time Emmy nominee in his first lead role in almost 30 years. Both Jonathan Demme and Neil Young are fans of the film's director/writer Matt Rabinowitz, and have expressed their support for the project.

About the Production:
The Frontier is a film about communication and its importance in our lives, which I think has a lot of relevance in our current hyper-connected society. It's an amalgamation of a few different themes: relationships between fathers and sons, the repercussions of the hippie generation, the pitfalls of our over-connected society, and the concept of intellectuals forgotten by time. These themes come together to form a story about an old man coming to grips with his place in society, his son who he's lost contact with, and the young woman helping him form his writings into a memoir.
In production until May 31, 2013.
