Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.
In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.
|TIGER WITHIN by The Princess Diaries writer: Friendship bet. homeless teen + Holocaust survivor sparks larger questions of fear & healing.|
Our film, sensitively written by Gina Wendkos, to be directed by Rafal Zielinski, is the story between two people who have fallen between the gaps of our society, lost their family and face the challenge of forgiveness.
Writer: Gina Wendkos (screenwriter of "The Princess Diaries" and "Coyote Ugly")
Director: Rafal Zielinski (two-time Sundance alumni - "Fun" Special Jury Award and "Ginger Ale Afternoon")
About the Production:
The screenplay tells an intimate, personal story with universal themes that resonate to the world at large.
Having lost his two children in the war, Samuel adopts Casey as the daughter he never had the chance to raise, so he can teach her how to be lady.
Both face a challenge - if he can forgive her, he can reconcile with the past; if she can forgive herself, she can be free.
"It has been a dream of mine to go around different high schools with this film to foster knowledge and provoke intelligent discussion". - Gina Wendkos
