"For the Record"
How would you feel if the worst moment of your life was caught on camera..by your friend?
It's about a boy who witnesses his best friend get beat up from afar. Instead of going to back him up in the fight, he films the whole thing on his iPhone and shows it to the police. A logical choice, but also a detached and cowardly one.
Writer/Director/Producer: Lev Pakman

About the Production:
"I wanted to present a situation where a boy has two options: make the heroic decision that is rooted in physical strength and violence, or make the heroic decision that is rooted in journalism and detachment. Both choices have their merits and their flaws and both can bring justice to the culprit. Nowadays, nearly everyone is enabled to become a video journalist at any given moment, I'm interested in what this does to our sense of physical loyalty to one another. Is this new recording technology making us more resourceful, pacifistic, efficient? More bloodless and voyeuristic? All of the above?" -- Lev Pakman
