Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress -- at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite. In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

Weekend Plans

Tweetable Logline: Married couple Linus and Lisa navigate the terrain of weekends in Austin with their perpetual third wheel and roommate, Jon.

Elevator Pitch: "Weekend Plans" is a 14 episode web series that takes place in Austin, Texas. It tells the story of an openminded married couple, Linus and Lisa and their dopey but lovable roommate Jon. Each episode is a comedic look into their weekends of video games, marijuana, excessive drinking, heart to hearts with hobos and fighting off cat burglars with hunting blades while wearing nothing but socks. We observe these three late 20-somethings as they navigate through the world and take each weekend one plan at a time.

Production Team:
Ronald Short - Director / Writer / Actor
Travis Ward - Director of Photography
Richard Bingham - Sound

About the film: After various frustrations trying to get another feature off the ground and getting nowhere, I wanted to come up with an idea that could be shot over several months and could be released soon after. I also always wanted to do a web series, something funny that I'd just put online and hope people will find it. So, I looked for some inspiration from my life. I started jotting ideas down from a six month period where my good friend was living with my wife and I. Thus, "Weekend Plans" was born and it's my most personal work yet.

Current Status: In production.
