Kerry Prior's "The Revenant" has been announced as the winner of the 11th Annual CineVegas Film Festival's audience award for best narrative. The film is described by the festival as "a satirical treatise on friendship, regret, and the nature of evil under the guise of a rootin'-tootin' vampire buddy movie." indieWIRE interviewed Prior prior to the festival , where he noted that the biggest challenge in making the film was "trying to get actors to allow me to tape squibs to their naked bodies."

"Revenant" was joined in audience approval by Ben Steinbauer's "Winnebago Man," which won the audience award for best documentary. CineVegas describes the film: "Jack Rebney's outrageously funny outtakes from a Winnebago sales video became an underground phenomenon and made him an Internet superstar. In Winnebago Man, filmmaker Ben Steinbauer sets out to find him."

"Man" premiered at the SXSW Film Festival this March, where indieWIRE's Eric Kohn said it "brilliantly encapsulates the transformative power of the online video boom."
