Tommy Lee Jones' "The Homesman" was first picked up for U.S. distribution by Saban Films at Cannes. Now, Roadside Attractions is joining the new company to co-distribute the drama. They have also announced a November 7 theatrical release date.
"The Homesman" follows a woman who seeks the help of a claim jumper to transport three woman to an asylum from Nebraska to Indiana. Hillary Swank, Jones, Meryl Streep and Hailee Steinfeld star.
"'The Homesman' is a bold and gripping film anchored with outstanding performances by an all-star cast," said Saban Films' President Bill Bromiley. "We are so pleased to collaborate with Roadside on our first release and share this film lauded film with U.S. audiences."
The film will be released in theaters on November 7. Saban will manage the sales on other distribution platforms.
