“Slumdog,” Penn, Streep, Among SAG Winners

The Screen Actors Guild has announced the winners of its 15th annual awards, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. “Slumdog Millionaire,” which won the Producers Guild Award for best film yesterday, continued its domination of awards season by taking SAG’s best ensemble cast award. Sean Penn and Meryl Streep each took home their first SAG awards for work in film (Streep had previously won for TV/Miniseries Actress in “Angels in America”). indieWIRE has the complete list of winners below.
