Sao Paolo Fest Announces Audience Finalists

The 21st Sao Paolo International Film Festival announced the finalists for
this year's jury prizes, with films coming from 10 countries on four
continents, and include films already released and recent festival faves.
The 12 films are: "Another Mother" ("Die Nieuwe Moeder") by Paula van Oest -
Holand, "Bent" by Sean Mathias - England, "Hades" by Stelios Harallambopoulos -
Greece, "Historis Molosne" by Jerzy Stuhr - Poland, "Junk Mail" by Pal Sletaune
- Norway, "Ma Vie En Rose" by Alain Berliner - Belgium, "Paper Airplanes"
(Mooshak-e Kaghazi) by Farhad Mehranher - Iran, "Taafe Tanga" by Adama Drabo
- Mali, "Talk To Me" by George Esguerra - USA, "The Full Monty" by Peter
Cattaneo - England, "The Life Of Jesus" ("La Vie de Jesus"), by Bruno Dumont -
France, and "The Thousand Wonders Of The Universe" by Jean-Michel Roux -
France. The Jury is comprised of directors American Hal Hartley ("Trust"),
Austrian Robert Dornheim and Idrissa Quedraogo from Burkina Faso; Spanish
actress Rosana Pastor; Brazillian cinematographer Affonso Beato, and
publicist Alexandre Gama.
