Fox Searchlight tonight announced a worldwide deal for Max Mayer's "Adam" at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. The film stars Hugh Dancy, Rose Byrne, Peter Gallagher, Amy Irving and Frankie Faison and was produced by Leslie Urdang, Miranda De Pencier and Dean Vanech. The company is planning a 2009 release for the movie.
"'Adam' has deeply satisfying and romantic storytelling, pitch perfect performances and the discovery of a new American filmmaker; this is what Sundance is all about," said Searchlight's Peter Rice, in a statement.
Fox Searchlight’s Tony Safford, Ray Strache and Megan O’Brien brokered the deal with Andrew Herwitz of The Film Sales Company on behalf of the filmmakers.

I'm so glad FOX?Searchlight has picked up this film. It is a great film and easily one of the best films at Sundance this year. It even received a standing ovation after its premiere.
