>> Tedeschi Named Shooting Gallery Prez

(indieWIRE/02.07.01) -- Shooting Gallery Inc. has announced the appointment
of a new President, tapping Joseph Tedeschi as the chief. Tedeschi replaces
Stephen Carlis who left the company last month to pursue other interests.

Joseph Tedeschi, formerly the head of the company's interactive division,
was named by Chairman/CEO Larry Meistrich to take the top spot. Before
coming to Shooting Gallery, Tedeschi was a VP at Primedia Inc.

"Shooting Gallery always has been aggressive in seeking fine talent,"
Meistrich said in a prepared statement. "Joseph comes to this new role with
vast experience that complements a business model that both maintains our
original objective to make great films and pursues new opportunities in the
multimedia environment." [Eugene Hernandez]

>> Four Slamdance Shorts Nabbed by Hypnotic

(indieWIRE/02.07.01) -- Hypnotic, the New York-based online entertainment
outfit, announced that it has acquired worldwide distribution rights to four
shorts featured at this year's Slamdance Film Festival. Greg Durbin's
"Boundaries," winner of the Grand Jury Prize for shorts, "White Face" by
Brian McDonald, winner of the Audience Award for Best Short; Barclay Hope's "Birthday Cake" and "Questions and Answers" by Dylan Haggerty will be distributed through Hypnotic's online and offline network.

"Boundaries" is centered on a woman who is pursued across the border by a
mute trombonist while "White Face" is described as a serious comedy about
racism. "The Birthday Cake" focuses on the relationship between two women
and a dog, with actress Lindsay Collins, giving an eerie performance.
"Questions and Answers" is about a superficial office worker obsessed with
finding a response to a co-worker's spontaneous remarks.

"Slamdance has quickly built a reputation for tapping into the most
innovative new talent in the filmmaking community," commented Gene Klein, VP
of Content for Hypnotic, in a prepared statement. The films will debut at
www.hypnotic.com later this year. [Brian Brooks]
