ShoWest is the largest convention in the worlddevoted exclusively to the motion picture industry and attractsdelegates from around the world. Reynolds has already won a Golden GlobeAward for his work in "Boogie Nights," for which he is also nominatedfor an Academy Award. His recent indie work includes Barry Berman'supcoming "Waterproof" and 1996's "Citizen Ruth" from Alexander Payne.Two-time Academy Award nominee Allen is being recognized for her work inAng Lee's "The Ice Storm" and John Woo's "Face/Off."The ShoWest awards will be handed out on March 12, 1998 at the Bally’sHotel in Las Vegas.

Burt Reynolds and Joan Allen have been chosen ShoWest's Supporting
Actors of the Year. ShoWest is the largest convention in the world
devoted exclusively to the motion picture industry and attracts
delegates from around the world. Reynolds has already won a Golden Globe
Award for his work in "Boogie Nights," for which he is also nominated
