Steven Soderbergh,"Sex, Lies and Videotape", will produce Joe and Anthony
Russo's script, "Murray Hill". The Russo brothers will direct. "Hill" is an
an "epic and darkly comic look at the collapse of Cleveland in the 1970's -
when the economy went to hell, the neighborhoods went to war, and a
criminal tried to save the city". Production is scheduled to begin in 1998.
Joe and Anthony Russo wrote and directed "Pieces", which will screen next
week at the 11th Annual AFI Film Festival in Los Angeles. "Pieces", which
also screened at Slamdance 1997, is a comedy about three crazed Italian
brothers in a failing Cleveland hairpiece business. Soderbergh bought the
rights to "Murray Hill", after a recent screening of "Pieces".
