Tim Skousen's "Sasquatch Dumpling Gang," which debuted at this year's Slamdance Film Festival, has been acquired by Sony BMG Entertainment's film division. The movie, a double award winner at the recent U.S. Comedy Arts Film Festival in Aspen, was produced by Jeremy Coon ("Napoleon Dynamite" along with Triggerstreet Productions & Trigger Street Independent.
"'The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang’ is a hilarious comedy and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to count it among our first releases," said Sofia Sondervan, SVP of SONY BMG Film, in a statement. The company closed the deal with Cinetic Media. [Eugene Hernandez]
