Channel 4's miniseries "Southcliffe" is premiering soon in the U.K. and hasn't yet been picked up by a U.S. network, but its one you're going to want to keep an eye on anyway. Written by Tony Grisoni ("Red Riding"), the four-episode drama is directed by "Martha Marcy May Marlene" filmmaker Sean Durkin -- his first TV project and his follow-up to the acclaimed indie debut.
"Southcliffe" is set in a fictional English market town devastated by a spate of shootings that took place over a single day, examining the tragedy through the eyes of a journalist returning to his childhood community as well as those closest to the victims of the tragedy. Rory Kinnear ("Black Mirror"), Sean Harris ("Prometheus"), Shirley Henderson ("Anna Karenina") and Eddie Marsan ("Tyrannosaur") are among the cast members. The British trailer looks noticeably different in visual style from the typical crime drama. Take a look:
