The Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit, is a refundable, non-transferable tax credit of 25 – 35 percent off the amount of a production company's qualifying expenditures that are incurred in producing a film or other media entertainment project in Ohio.
Are there studios and soundstages that the state hosts that filmmakers should know about? No we host no studio or sound stages.
What can you tell us about talented labor in your state? Do you have robust union representation? Our union representation is growing, it is more robust in the Cleveland and Cincinnati areas. Lots of experienced non union crew in the Columbus area.
Are there deals that you have with equipment, craft service or other suppliers to make these services more affordable? No we do not have deals with production suppliers.
