In advance of the upcoming Academy Awards, Indiewire has compiled a list of films streaming online that boast a director who has won a Best Director Oscar. Here's the list of the 33 films streaming online at Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and HitBliss.

In addition to the performance, writing, design and tech awards handed out, an award is given each year to a director who has crafted an exemplary film.
