Summit Entertainment will preview three of its upcoming films on Thursday July 23rd at Comic-Con 2009. Among them is the sequel to 2008's vampire romance megahit "Twilight" - "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" - which will be presented with footage of the film and a Q&A session with "surprise members of the cast." The presentation will take place from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m, while additionally, Summit will present "The Twilight Experience," a "one-night-only special theatrical re-release," featuring introductions by the mysteriously as-yet-unnamed cast members. The screening will take place at the Pacific Gaslamp 15 in San Diego.
Also on tap for Summit's big day at ComicCon is a presentation of "Astro Boy," featuring Freddie Highmore and Kristin Bell (who will be on hand at the presentation). Director David Bowers will debut footage and answer questions about "bringing this beloved superhero to the big screen." A CG-animated feature film, "Astro Boy" is based on the Manga series which "chronicles the futuristic adventures of a young robot with incredible powers and his exciting journey in search of his identity and his destiny." "Astro"'s panel runs from 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m, also on July 23rd.
