Sundance 2013: Lynn Shelton's 'Touchy Feely' and Lake Bell's 'In a World...' Lead Festival USA Screenings Initiative

The Sundance Institute has announced the 10 films and filmmakers chosen from the 2013 Sundance Film Festival program that will screen as part of its Sundance Film Festival USA initiative. On January 31, 10 independent theaters around the country will host showings of official Sundance selections along with Q&As with the filmmakers.

The Sundance Institute has announced the 10 films and filmmakers chosen from the 2013 Sundance Film Festival program that will screen as part of its Sundance Film Festival USA initiative. On January 31, 10 independent theaters around the country will host showings of official Sundance selections along with Q&As with the filmmakers.

Included this year are Zal Batmanglij and Brit Marling’s “The East,” Lynn Shelton’s “Touchy Feely,” Jill Soloway’s “Afternoon Delight” and the James Ponsoldt-directed “The Spectacular Now,” among others. Tickets for the screenings will be available at each local theater’s box office.

“Sundance Film Festival USA celebrates the theaters and audiences that are an integral part of supporting and encouraging the work of independent filmmakers,” said Sundance Institute president and founder Robert Redford. “By extending the Festival to these 10 cities, we will create a larger shared experience and dialogue around the issues of our time, as explored in these films.”

The Sundance Film Festival runs from Jan. 17-27, 2013.
