Sundance: A24 and DirecTV Net Aubrey Plaza Zombie Comedy 'Life After Beth'

A24 and DirecTV have joined forces to acquire U.S. rights to the Aubrey Plaza-starring zombie comedy "Life After Beth," per Variety. The buy includes a 30-day exclusive window for DirecTV prior to its theatrical release that A24 is handling. The film centers on a mild mannered guy (Dane DeHaan) who discovers that his dead girlfriend (Aubrey Plaza) has come back from the dead.

A24 and DirecTV have joined forces to acquire U.S. rights to the Aubrey Plaza-starring zombie comedy "Life After Beth," per Variety. The buy includes a 30-day exclusive window for DirecTV prior to its theatrical release that A24 is handling. Directed by first-timer Jeff Baena, the film centers on a mild mannered guy (Dane DeHaan) who discovers that his dead girlfriend (Aubrey Plaza) has come back from the dead.

The joint venture is part of an overall deal announced in September by the two companies. Dennis Villeneuve's thriller "Enemy," starring Jake Gyllenhaal, was the first film covered in the alliance.
