>> Sundance Channel Inks Deals

Sundance Channel has signed two deals designed to expand its reach into
homes across the country. In January of 1999, Sundance Channel will be
launched by HITS, Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI)'s digital television
delivery system. This gives HITS affiliates, currently including 57
Multiple System Operators (MSOs) which provide service to more than 1.3
million set-top devices, the opportunity to program the Channel as part
of their digital services.

The Channel also reached a corporate affiliation agreement with
Satellite Services, Inc., a programming provider for systems
representing approximately 16 million subscribers, including those on
systems owned by TCI. The agreement calls for both analog and digital
distribution and the Channel will seek to launch its services in several
of TCI's urban clusters during first half 1999. The Channel has also
recently reached corporate affiliation agreements with Time Warner
Cable
, MediaOne, Jones Intercable and Century Communications, giving
them distribution in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia and
the greater San Francisco and Boston areas. Sundance Channel plans to be
in 20 million homes by the end of first quarter, 1999. In a prepared
statement, Sundance Channel President and COO Larry Aidem said that the
TCI deal means that the "Channel is available within 5 of the country's
top 6 MSO's.
