2:30PM: "Martha Marcy"/"Page One" Acquired: When it rains it pours! In two big Sundance buys to hit the news wire this afternoon, Fox Searchlight took worldwide rights to "Martha Marcy May Marlene" and Magnolia Pictures & Participant Media teamed up to release "Page One: A Year Inside The New York Times.

12:15PM: Eric Kohn takes on "Red State" & Smith In response to the film behind some of Sundance 2011's more bizarre moments, indieWIRE critic Eric Kohn says "the movie can’t seem to settle on a specific tone." See his full review here.


11:00AM: Watch Kevin Smith Introduce "Red State": Check out this clip of Kevin Smith introducing "Red State" at its Sundance premiere last night. Video from the aftermath, which saw Smith announce he would be self-distributing the film (his suggestion that he would auction off the film to distributors at the screening turned out to be a hoax), will be up shortly. 10:55AM: Horse Whisperer Doc "Buck" Heads To Sundance Selects: Sundance Selects has acquired North American rights to "Buck," one of the most talked about documentaries at Sundance. Directed by Cindy Meehl, the film examines horse whisperer Buck Brannaman, a "living legend in the horse world." More here.

10:45AM: Video Interview with Star of "Pariah": As one of the first films to screen at this year's festival, Dee Rees' "Pariah" came out of the gate as a winner, earning a standing ovation from almost everyone in attendance. indieWIRE sat down to chat with the film's lead, newcomer Adepero Oduye. 10:30AM: IFC Picks Up "The Ledge" IFC has sealed the deal for Matthew Chapman's "The Ledge," which chronicles the drama behind a man threatening to jump off a high-rise office building. The Hollywood Reporter reports that IFC paid just over $1 million. See their full report here.


10:00AM: Eric Kohn Reviews "The Catechism Cataclysm": "Little’s cult popularity on 'Eastbound' may provide the movie with a strong VOD reception," Kohn writes, :and the backing of production company Rough House (fronted by Danny McBride, David Gordon Green and Jody Hill) could introduce some additional attention from fans of those filmmakers’ equally zany works."
